Terps of the Month - May

Jerry has been an ultimate team player and has gone above and beyond every time help has been needed in the Strategic Communications and Content Development unit since he came to Maryland. Over the past few months, the unit has been down a staff member, and Jerry picked up responsibilities with three additional teams (volleyball, women's lacrosse, and women's basketball), in addition to his responsibilities with field hockey and softball. As the office continued to be shorthanded took on added duties, made many road trips, and handled media relations and social media duties for many teams.

Late in April and early in May, he served as the media host coordinator for the Big Ten Tournament and NCAA Tournaments in Women's Lacrosse at the Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex. He never missed a beat. Jerry took on training a new employee with softball, attending games early on to ensure a smooth transition. At the end of the softball season, we needed a staff member to travel to Nebraska with the softball team. Softball was no longer his responsibility, but Jerry gave up a free weekend to travel and provide coverage for the Terps.

Jerry works extremely hard to consistently put out creative and engaging content for all of the teams he is working with. His coaches and athletes love working with him, and his enthusiasm is infectious.
