Create a secure login:
The first time you use a MoneyPak, you will need to go to MoneyPak.com to create a secure login. Enter the MoneyPak number from the back of the package on the first screen. To create a secure login, you will be asked to provide some personal information, including your Social Security Number and date of birth, and also to verify your mobile phone number by following the prompts.

Once you get the personalized prepaid card in the mail (usually within two weeks) and activate it, your personalized prepaid card will then be ready to accept MoneyPak reloads as long as the card is issued by a participating prepaid card provider.
If a MoneyPak is not used within 30 days after purchase, a $5.95 fee will be debited from the balance of the MoneyPak on the 31st day after purchase and each month thereafter, except where prohibited by law.
The amount you can deposit using MoneyPak may also be lower if your prepaid or bank debit card provider has limits on the amount they allow you to deposit to your card.

Here are two easy tips for avoiding scams:
- Only give your MoneyPak number to someone you know, trust, and have met face-to-face.
- Remember that NO legitimate company or government agency will EVER ask you for a MoneyPak number.
If you get a call from a business requesting payment via MoneyPak, hang up. NO legitimate company or government agency will EVER ask you for a MoneyPak number. If you think you may really owe money, call the business directly or go to their website.
If you get a call from a person you don’t know personally saying they’re a relative needing money, hang up. Call someone else in your family close to that person to see if they really need help.
If you get an email that looks suspicious, call or email the sender directly. Do not reply to the email or call any numbers provided in the email.
To become an even more effective scam spotter, familiarize yourself with the list of common scams on our Fraud Assistance page.
You can also submit a fraud claim to Green Dot. We will attempt to recover funds from fraudulent activity, but if the MoneyPak funds have already been transferred, we will not be able to refund that money to you.
Keep your receipt. If we do recover any MoneyPak funds, we will require proof of purchase before any recovered funds can be returned to you.
Important: Once you load cash to a MoneyPak, the MoneyPak number on the back of the package is the same as cash. Green Dot is not responsible for paying you back if you unsuspectingly give your MoneyPak number to a criminal who uses the MoneyPak.
Additionally, some users may be asked to upload a photo ID so that we can verify their identity.
To upload your photo ID, please do the following:
