Sternberg’s book offers a collection of essays spanning a broad spectrum of approaches to the problem of understanding creativity. The contributors examine creativity as a product of an individual’s external environment, internal environment or an integrated system involving both. The author of this article evaluates Sternberg’s collection, places it within the context of other current literature in the field and points out some gaps in both this collection and the general research in this area.
