_______________________________________________________________________ APNIC EC endorses three policy proposals _______________________________________________________________________ Dear colleagues The APNIC EC (Executive Council) endorsed the following proposals at its meeting on 18 May 2010. Minutes from this meeting will be available after they have been adopted at the June 2010 EC meeting. prop-079: Abuse contact information prop-080: Removal of IPv4 prefix exchange policy prop-082: Removing aggregation criteria for IPv6 initial allocations Next steps ---------- The following two proposals involve minimal changes to documentation only. Therefore these will be implemented as soon as practicable, early in the third quarter of 2010. prop-080: Removal of IPv4 prefix exchange policy prop-082: Removing aggregation criteria for IPv6 initial allocations The remaining policy, prop-079, "Abuse contact information", requires more complex technical changes to whois and other software. Therefore, it will be implemented by the APNIC Secretariat during the fourth quarter of 2010. For a detailed history of the endorsed proposals, see: https://www.apnic.net/policy/proposals Regards -- _____________________________________________________________________ Samantha Dickinson email: sam at apnic dot net Senior Policy Specialist, APNIC sip: sam at voip dot apnic dot net https://www.apnic.net phone: +61 7 3858 3100
