Dear Mr. Miller Your last call issue regarding the extensibility of XML Schema was discussed by the working group. While there was some support for the notion that XSDL is insufficiently extensible, many participants felt the functionality you desired could be filled through the use of either the <appinfo> element, or some external mechanism, such as the Schema Adjunct Framework. Therefore the decision was made to make no changes to the spec with regards to this functionality. If you have any questions about this decision, please let me know. Sincerely, Matthew Fuchs issue number: LC-82 respondent: Matthew Fuchs mailing list to which the response was sent: www-xml-schema-comments@w3.org date: September 6, 2000 URI in the archive: https://www.w3.org/XML/Group/xmlschema-current/lcissues.html#extensibility
