Dan, In https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-rdf-comments/2001JanMar/0059.html you raised an issue with the RDF M&S spec which was recorded in https://www.w3.org/2000/03/rdf-tracking/#rdfms-formal-grammar as The grammar in the RDF 1.0 spec is informal and should be replaced. Something based on XML Schema should be considerd. On the 26th October 2001, the WG resolved this issue https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/w3c-rdfcore-wg/2001Oct/0595.html This issue is closed on the grounds that it is resolved by the new approach taken to defining the syntax. Basically, what this means is that the WG are rewriting the syntax documents from scratch and using a technique based on an infoset grammar to describe the syntax, which addresses the lack of clarity of the original syntax specification. You can find a current WD of the new syntax document and a pointer to our other specifications at: https://www.w3.org/2001/sw/RDFCore/ Please can you respond to this message, copying www-rdf-comments@w3.org stating whether this is an acceptable resolution of the issue.
