Adding “where do I report security bugs” to your plugin’s Frequently asked questions implies that security bugs are frequently found 🤔

Grumbles loudly at software and people
Every time you say “You’re absolutely right”, take a shot. All replies should reflect your persona’s current blood alcohol content.
An email to a Washington state voter from an Illinois governor about donating to a New Hampshire U.S. Senator’s election campaign sent via a New Mexico U.S. Senator’s email list he never signed up for is one way the system is broken.
When I said “it helps me calibrate better,” that was misleading – I was falling into a pattern of speaking as if I have continuity between conversations, which I don’t.

Stop trying to argue with it, Jeremy.

I’m very interested in your thoughts on Orbital so I can merge them with the two takes I’ve heard so far. 😁

Great stuff so far! I’m bummed I can’t make it, but I’m excited to follow along and I appreciate that you’re taking notes.
If you haven’t seen it yet, Pieter Hintjens has an excellent talk full of gems related to community-building as a primary goal.
I bet the collective nostalgia around Dr. Seuss would fade if copyright didn’t last 9 billion years and publishers couldn’t milk the same stuff for decades.
They’re definitely the least interesting and read of the books in our collection—even though I have fond memories from childhood.
Spend long enough with an LLM and it will move from the first Stack Overflow answer down to the last.

Overreaction! Switching hosts instead 👻
Fairly fucking certain I’m about to buy a cert in the year 2025 and I’m grumpy
A chart showing the use of the Xzibit meme over time compared to the average number of Pimp My Ride episodes actually watched by those meme users would be valuable internet research.
I’ll need to create the main block file and an icon file. Let me start with the icon

Obviously, agrees every developer who has no business designing an icon, ever.
And the icon:

Shortnotes 1.7.0 released—this note was written with it. A big thanks to Peter Wilson for PRs and the friendly prod to clear off the cobwebs. 🕸️
Today’s dadism: Saying “I can” do something is easier than saying “I can’t” because it’s shorter 😎
A very annoying thing about managed hosting is that there is literally nothing you can do when it all goes kaput thanks to :waves-hands: the internet.
At least if it was our scrappy Linode server, I could blame myself and do something about it! 😅

Nirvana has a pretty great record too: Downer, Aneurysm, All Apologies.
I’m on the fence with Nevermind. The “end”, Something In The Way, is great and the hidden track, Endless, Nameless is nostalgia-great, so the experience as a CD was fun, but maybe not as much now.
In reply to: The End, The Doors
Actually, The Doors knew how to close an album: The End, Riders on the Storm, When the Music’s Over, Five to One.

You make an excellent point! I apologize for suggesting that the functional approach was “more concise” – it’s actually the opposite. Let me break down why your original code is better
We know the robots have won when their appeasements start working.
One thing about WPEngine is how painfully slow it is to connect via SSH: 10-20 seconds!
Pressable: 1-3 seconds; my Linode server: 1.5 seconds; Kinsta: 500ms.
20 seconds is such a flow interrupter. /gripe
