In this release, we reworked the inclusion, exclusion, remove failed and replace failed node processes. Under the hood, they are now driven by the task scheduler that was introduced in v13.5.0. This gives us more control over their execution and prevents individual processes from interfering with each other, especially the removal of nodes that failed to include via SmartStart. Previously this could lead to some odd issues.

• Pinging a node no longer uses automatic route resolution or explorer frames by default. This massively reduces latency in the case of communication failures (a few hundred milliseconds vs. several seconds). The old behavior can be restored using a new option to the ping method (#7903)
