Working on issue #136, we realized that for better understanding for end users, perhaps it might make sense to reorganize the presentation of accessibility information in the metadata.

We have begun some work on organization, which we offer in this issue. This is a draft and the order in which they are reported can be revised. Any comments are welcome.

For each category we envision a short information and an extended information, both of which can be generated by the machine by combining the individual machine-readable metadata and producing the information to be shown to the user.

Proposed categories for organizing accessibility metadata:

• General information (supplement the bibliographic information): e.g. publication format, reflowable vs fixed, DRM etc. (related to issue Additional metadata info to add to user experience guide #137)
• Accessible navigation: e.g. TOC, page-list, reading order
• Accessible non textual content (images, charts, formulas and tables): e.g. alt-text, long description, math
• Visual Adjustments: e.g. display transformability, color contrast, dyslexia font
• Audio: e.g. language tagging, media overlays
• Hazards
• Accessibility Certification: e.g. certifier, certifier report
• Accessibility Compliance: might be something to be locally defined based on local regulations, discussion on issue Refine Conforms To display #138
• Additional information on accessibility: e.g. accessibility summary, other metadata
