I talked to the other maintainers and we are thinking of sending a few Numbers so can have access to the full cycle of the project (like calling the PSTN) |

if you do, let me know. I'd be interested in beta testing that. I would be a good data point because I've never worked with VOIP before.

I sent you a set of test credentials. Notice that I was vague with the information (intentionally) because I want to know if the documentation is useful enough π |

Here are a few notes about your feedback
We were looking at a shorter way of saying "enable experimental features," but it's obvious that it doesn't work. It seems too long, but we might just use something like this: This utility will help you create a new Fonoster Project
Press ^C at any time to quit.
? friendly name project-name
? allow experimental features? (Y/n)

heya pedro! just came across this project in the last hour -- but love everything about it on first pass. voip noob, but happy to serve as an indie-saas-founder customer type if that's useful to the mission. rock on |

I did a little digging and it looks like you use the webhook of your application as the host of your service provider. You need to update

@psanders , so does this mean that the fonoster does not work with Indian phone number if I use from and to as Indian phone number? |

As long as you have a VoIP provider, it does not matter the country. It seems that Airtel offers VoIP, but you have to ask them for the trunking information. |

Thanks. For the experiments issue, I don't think making the prompt more verbose is the issue. The issue is that I don't know what experiments are; did I miss it in the guide?

the CLI prompts me to allow 'experiments', but the guide doesn't explain what that is
We were looking at a shorter way of saying "enable experimental features," but it's obvious that it doesn't work. It seems too long, but we might just use something like this:

no problems but the CLI asks me for an "expire" value.
The expire refers to the time (in seconds) after which a SIP endpoint sends a "refresh" connection request. Here is what I think:
Replace the "expire" with "registration expiry (in secs)"
Improve the guide to include exactly what each parameter means
what do I do with this URL now?
I think the fix for this is to show a diagram or a small video
it's unclear what command I should run.

Again. Thanks for the feedback!

I dont know if this aligns with the vision of this project or not, but I am a carrier, and have extensive capabilities to create interop for a reasonable number of solutions. At least 150 current'ish generation endpoints, at least 60 different ATAs, 16-20 IP speakers, adaptors, etc..,have 12 commercially licensed SBC manufacturers, and more than 90 Commercial PBXs, I dont even know how many current Hosted Interops, and we can throw some compute, SIP Trunking, STIR/SHAKEN Framework support, ELIN, Etc... Resources. If my team gets some free time some dev efforts. I've been following this for a while and would like to contribute and help. There is more we can provide from a resource standpoint as well. If interested we should probably move to private message. I think this project has a great promise to become a transformative technology. |

We are currently working with a small group of individuals and organizations that want to test Fonoster before it becomes public. At the moment, access to the private beta version of Fonoster is invited only.
If you are interested in trying Fonoster, please drop a comment below, and we will guide you on how to start.
-- UPDATE 3 --
Starting today, everyone in our Slack community will have access to the private beta. You just need to submit a PR with your GitHub username added on this list.
-- UPDATE 2 --
We are only waiting on finishing the WebUI so we can open the platform for testing :)
