Flash Platform & Cuke4AS3

• The Flex SDK is not currently supported due to problems with the UIImpersonator
• If certain core library dependencies are missing from your compiler path the mxmlc can throw an uncaught exception and crash the application. Make sure you keep your additional mxlmc arguments up to date. Also ensure that your libraries dependencies are accounted for.
• Static methods not Supported
• Unhelpful Error Messages, The code remains, the message and stack trace disappear (try https://help.adobe.com/en_US/FlashPlatform/reference/actionscript/3/runtimeErrors.html)
• There is a namespace clash for JSON when compiling with the 4.6 SDK due to the use of as3corelib.swc
• Generally misformatted or bad arguments for cucumber are not validated
• If a step fails it is displayed in red but the subsequent steps misleadingly come up in green
• Sub directories not yet supported for step defintions, put all your step definitions in step_definitions root
• There is a race condition between cucumber exiting as a process and closing its connection to the wire server which should be addressed in version 0.4.4

Cucumber & Ruby

• ERB wire files not supported since AIR does not have access to environment variables
• [Before] and [After] not yet supported
• -p, --profile works differently, cucumber.yml will be referenced if it is put in the root of the file system Cucumber Issue #180
• -l, --lines argument will not currently work Cucumber Issue #192
• -m, --no-multiline does not work. It seems as though AIR's NativeProcess is still able to access the table data
• -a, --autoformat behaves differently on different platforms. Windows fails, OSX and Ubuntu works but mimics the directory structure from root to your features parent see Cucumber Issue #194
• cucumber @rerun.txt is not currently working for different reasons on different platforms
• -b, --backtrace is good for debugging in the ide but largely irrelevant for the production version since AIR does not retain exception stacktraces in its production environment
• -r, --require is largely irrelevant if you are doing a pure actionscript project as it does not load *.as files
• -g, --guess is also largely irrelevant to pure actionscript projects as Cuke4AS3 does not look for ambiguous matches as yet

Linux

• There will be no rpm builds of the developer UI because the rpm api has changed since linux support was dropped in air https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=692381. If you are using linux and want to install the app try the .deb build. If you just want to run it or include it in continuous integration (and get the benefit of full stack traces) look at the ant build files to see how to run the application using the Air Debug Launcher (ADL). No install is required for this e.g. The cucumber-self-test task in cuke4as3-build.xml
• Developer UI does not like using symlinks to cucumber
