First release of Ubuntu Plucky Puffin (25.04). BUT be warned, desktop does not work for S905W2 and S905X4. I haven't figured out why yet. It does not seems to be kernel related. So if someone figures it out, please let me know. (I have a vague suspicion it has something to do with triple buffering of Gnome 48?).

Replaced most of the SC2 (S905X4) support with modified S4 drivers or missing SC2 drivers from vendor kernel 5.15 (drivers were 4.9 based). So be careful when upgrading existing S905X4 installs.

Add DRM/HDMI support for SC2 and S4 SoCs (S905X4, S905W2, S905Y4)!!!!
Amlogic has started upstreaming patches for DRM/HDMI support for the S4 platform.
I backported the first round of patches to the 6.12 kernel and added support for the SC2. It is now possible to run a graphical desktop on these boxes. However, in my opinion, these boxes are waaay too slow to use as a graphical desktop. -
Add Basic support S905L-3 SOC (GXLX2), but NO HDMI output
My advice: stay away from boxes with this SoC. -
Resolved a bug that caused the machine-id not to regenerate every time a fresh image is burned.
-
Add correct VFD display mapping for Vontar X4

- Fixes a bug from upstream kernel where headless (no display attached) g12 based (s905x2/s905x3/s922x) boxes would hang during boot.

2024-12-23: WARNING: apparently this release hangs on headless S905X3 boxes! And maybe on other SOC's as well. Test this release via USB/SDCARD first on your box before you upgrade to EMMC. I am able reproduce the hang and am trying to find the cause and hopefully a solution.
2024-12-26: removed this release because of mentioned bug.
