Summary
The Icelandic Competition Authority (ICA) has examined Reginn hf. and Hagar hf.´s acquisition of Klasi ehf.
The ICA concluded that the merger would lead to a significant distortion of competition and that there were grounds to intervene. The merging parties approached the ICA for the negotiating of conditions on the merger. Conditions aimed at countering the negative effects on competition were signed by the parties on 10 June 2022, thus concluding the ICAs investigation.
