Call for Guest Editors

Victorian Periodicals Review invites proposals from guest editors for special themed issues to be published in 2025, 2026, and 2027. Individuals or coeditors should submit a proposal to Katherine Malone (vpr@rs4vp.org). Please include a short description of your topic and its relevance to Victorian periodical studies along with a brief bio for each editor. RSVP Conference

Our next conference will be held at the University of Stirling, Scotland, June 13–15, 2024. The theme of the conference is "Place." For further details, please visit https://rs4vp.org.

The RSVP board is currently in search of institutions interested in hosting the 2025 conference, particularly institutions that are located in the United States or Canada. If you are interested in discussing this more, please reach out to communications@rs4vp.org.

Curran Fellowships

The Curran Fellowships are a set of travel and research grants intended to aid scholars studying nineteenth-century British magazines and newspapers in making use of primary print and archival sources. Made possible through the generosity of the late Eileen Curran, Professor Emerita of English, Colby College, and inspired by her pioneering research on Victorian periodicals, the fellowships are awarded annually. The Curran Fellowship application period will be earlier this year. The application portal will open in September and close in November. Please keep an eye on the RSVP website for more details.
