Note from the Editor
The Demography Editorial Team (Editor and Deputy Editors) has performed its tasks very efficiently during the past year. We continue to provide timely reviews of submitted manuscripts, with professional advice and counsel to authors even if their manuscripts are not accepted for publication. Our mean review times are on the order of 60 to 70 days, with very few manuscripts taking more than 120 days from submission to decision. This is made possible by the good citizenship and conscientious reviews of members of our Editorial Board and many other reviewers, for which we are most grateful. And we continue to have great support from Managing Editor, Laura Tesch, and Editorial Assistant, Patricia A. Thomas.
With the February 2009 issue, we are initiating an online Web page for supplementary analyses and appendices of articles published in Demography, which will be linked to the Demography Web page on the PAA Web site ( https://www.popassoc.org ). It constitutes an opportunity to provide readers with materials that complement and/or supplement the analyses in published articles but that take excessive space and are asides to the main data and analyses reported in the printed articles. Accordingly, if we accept one of your submissions in the future but find such materials included and/or otherwise sent to us, we may advise you that we will post them on this Web page when the article is published.
