John Scudder is a Distinguished Engineer at Juniper Networks, where he focuses on routing protocol design and standardization. His interests also include protocol security and system architecture. He is co-chair of the IETF IDR (BGP) working group and a past co-chair of the Routing Area and SPRING (Segment Routing) working groups. His past work includes Cisco Systems, IEng, and Merit Network, where he worked as a member of the NSFNET engineering staff.
