An open-source Maltese spell checker
The Maltese spell checker project was established in 2004 by the late Ramon Casha. We are a non-profit group aimed at preserving and updating the spell checker for the benefit of all those writing in Maltese.

The Maltese spelling dictionary can be used in LibreOffice/OpenOffice, as a Microsoft Word Add-In and as a Linux & macOS system-wide dictionary. Check out the README file for installation information or view our documentation.

The online spell checker allows you to check your Maltese spelling in your browser. This is suitable for shorter texts, although there is no limit. Make sure you have enabled your Maltese keyboard layout (learn how here).
