taichi/vscode-textlint is a great project, but it has not been updated for a long time, and many issues and pull requests have accumulated. Since many users are believed to hope for the continuation of this project, I propose transferring it to community-based maintenance. If there is anything I can do to help, please let me know.
I have touched the vscode-textlint source code, so I can help maintain it.
Probably the first thing we should do properly is to automate the Publish mechanism.
Hi @azu
I've forked taichi/vscode-textlint to 3w36zj6/vscode-textlint and set up integration test and marketplace publishing workflows. Would it be okay to transfer the repository to the organization?
I wish to extend my sincere appreciation to @3w36zj6 for taking the initiative to continue the maintenance and development of the vscode-textlint extension. As the original maintainer, I acknowledge that my capacity to properly support this project has been limited for an extended period, resulting in accumulated issues and unaddressed pull requests.
I fully support the transfer of this repository to community-based maintenance under @3w36zj6's stewardship. To facilitate a smooth transition and prevent any confusion among users, I commit to the following actions:
I will archive my original repository to clearly indicate its inactive status.
Upon the first release of the newly maintained extension, I will withdraw my published versions from the marketplace to ensure users are directed to the actively maintained version.
This transition represents the best path forward for the project and its user community. I am confident that under new maintenance, the vscode-textlint extension will continue to serve its purpose effectively and evolve to meet users' needs.
I remain available to provide any historical context or assistance that might be helpful during this transition process.
