The work has been split into two streams:
- version 3.x
- version 2.5x
Version 3 introduces significant changes. The majority of project development is happening on this version.
- Refreshed look and feel with many usability tweaks
- Significant work related to Hi-DPI support
- New dashboard
- Enhanced repository management
- Enhanced branch management (left panel)
- Formalized and unified use of async patterns
- Deprecated and removed support for Mono
- Unbundled git and kdiff3 installations
- Minimum git version 2.11.0
- Version 3 will perform a one-time, one-way upgrade on your settings file. Running version 2.x after this upgrade will see some loss of settings.
Version 2.5x was the last cross-platform version, running both on Windows (MS .NET Framework) and on Linux/Mac (Mono).
This branch is in maintenance mode with no significant active development planned. Only certain bug fixes are currently ported across, however there may be consideration given for certain features to be ported across from the v3.0x stream.
