This repository contains the Swift package for the Maps SDK for iOS. For additional methods of installing the Maps SDK for iOS including CocoaPods, see the Maps SDK for iOS documentation.

• Xcode version 16.0 or later
• An app targeting iOS 16 or later
• A Google Maps Platform project with the Maps SDK for iOS enabled.
• An API key associated with the project above.

1. Follow the instructions for adding package dependencies to your app in Xcode.

2. In the "Enter Package URL" field, enter this GitHub repository:

   https://github.com/googlemaps/ios-maps-sdk
   

3. Select the version of the Maps SDK for iOS that you want to use. For new projects, we recommend specifying the latest version and using the "Exact Version" option.

4. Follow the instructions to add your API key to your app.

External contributions are not accepted for this repository, per the Contributing guide.

This package uses Google Maps Platform services, and any use of Google Maps Platform is subject to the Terms of Service.

This repository is offered via an open source license. It is not governed by the Google Maps Platform Support Technical Support Services Guidelines, the SLA, or the Deprecation Policy (however, any Google Maps Platform services used by the library remain subject to the Google Maps Platform Terms of Service).

This repository adheres to semantic versioning to indicate when backwards-incompatible changes are introduced. Accordingly, while the library is in version 0.x, backwards-incompatible changes may be introduced at any time.
